Jason Hill Website
Project Overview: Jason Hill Website
I have collaborated with Jason Hill for many years, a relationship that began during his time with the bands Convoy and Louis XIV. Today, Jason is a premier, award-winning composer and producer, known for his haunting and atmospheric scores for critically acclaimed projects like David Fincher’s Mindhunter, The Confession Killer, and Gone Girl.
This website serves as a comprehensive catalog of his prolific career—spanning platinum-selling records to high-end film and television scoring—and functions as a high-performance marketing tool for his studio, The Department of Recording and Power.
Technical Execution
To manage a discography and filmography of this scale, the site was developed as a data-driven powerhouse. The architecture utilizes:
- WordPress & Elementor: A flexible front-end framework that maintains brand consistency across complex page layouts.
- Custom Post Types (CPT): Segregated content structures for “Filmography,” “Records,” and “News,” allowing for seamless organization of his vast body of work.
- Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): A tailored back-end that allows for specific data entry—such as release dates, film directors, and streaming links—which then dynamically populates throughout the site.
This approach ensures that as Jason’s career continues to expand, the website remains easily scalable and structurally sound.
